1. Personal data
According to the GDPR, personal data is "any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter referred to as "data subject"); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person".
2. Functions of our website
Below we explain which data we process on which legal basis within the scope of the functions we offer you, how long we store your data and who receives your data.
a) General use of the website
We generally only collect and store personal data during your visit to our website if you actively provide it to us. Notwithstanding the above, our hosting provider's web server automatically registers website access, including your IP address. However, your IP address is not stored.
Furthermore, our hosting provider creates so-called log files to maintain system security. These log files contain the following information: date of access, URL, content accessed, and the data transferred.
This information remains anonymous to us. It is therefore impossible to identify any individual.
Your IP address is processed during the connection setup so that we can provide you with our website. This processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the aforementioned purpose.
Our log files are stored for 30 days.
b) Contact form
We offer you the option of contacting us via a form. For this purpose, you must provide us with your email address so that we can respond to your inquiry. You can also provide us with your name, a subject, and your specific message.
Please contact us using the email address provided on our website. At a minimum, please provide us with your email address and any other information you choose to include in your email. We need to process this data in order to handle your request. This processing, which occurs when you contact us, allows us to process and respond to your inquiry. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the purpose stated above.
We store your emails and contact information for as long as necessary to process your request and then for a period of three years in case you contact us again regarding your original question. This does not apply if you initiate a contractual relationship with us via email. In this case, the storage period is governed by the underlying contract. You will be informed separately about the data processing activities that take place in this case.
c) Opening a customer account, shopping function & rating
When you create a user account, the necessary data you voluntarily provide will be stored. When you order from our online shop, we automatically create a user account based on your order details. We will send your order details and our Terms and Conditions to you via email. As a registered user, you can view your order details and past orders in your user account at any time. Of course, you can also request that we delete your user account at any time. We use the data you provide to fulfill and process your order.
To create a customer account and place an order, we collect the following data: title, your first name, your last name, your email address, a password of your choice, your company, your street, your house number, in case of address supplements, your country, your postal code, your city, your telephone number.
Your customer account includes your reviews. This ensures that you can only review products you have purchased. We collect the following information: your name, the review title, your message, and the rating (in star form). No personal data stored in your customer account will be published at any time. Your customer account data is processed to provide you with the account's functionalities and – if you make a purchase – to process and fulfill your order. This processing is based on Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter b) of the GDPR. Furthermore, we are legally obligated to store certain data, such as invoices, contracts, and other accounting-related information, for a specific period. The processing for this purpose is based on Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter c) of the GDPR in conjunction with Sections 147 AO and 257 HGB. We store your data processed within the customer account until you close your account. After that, we store your data for a further 3 years in case any claims arise from our legal relationship with you. Personal data contained in contracts or invoices will be retained for 11 years from the end of the year in which you closed the account. Data contained in business letters or other documents relevant for taxation will be retained for 7 years from the end of the year in which you closed the account.
For the purpose of obtaining your review, we will contact you as part of the contract processing. Your information will only be used for this purpose and, in particular, will not be used for further advertising or passed on to any other third parties. This processing is also based on Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f) GDPR, whereby the legitimate interest lies in the aforementioned purpose. We will store your review for as long as the product is sold by us.
Unless you have objected, we will use your email address, which we obtained in connection with the sale of goods or services, to send you electronic advertising for our own goods or services that are similar to those you have already purchased from us. You can object to this use of your email address at any time by notifying us. Our contact details for exercising your right to object can be found in the legal notice. You can also use the unsubscribe link provided in the advertising email. No costs other than standard transmission fees will be incurred. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR and Art. 95 GDPR in conjunction with Section 7 para. 3 of the German Act Against Unfair Competition (UWG). We will store the data required for this purpose until you object to receiving advertising messages.
d) Newsletter and consulting services
Newsletter: When you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address will be stored with your consent and used exclusively for our own advertising purposes until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time without incurring any costs other than standard transmission fees.
When you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address will be stored with your consent and used exclusively for our own advertising purposes until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time without incurring any costs other than standard transmission fees. Simply send a written notification to the contact details listed in section 13 (e.g., email, letter). Of course, you will also find an unsubscribe link in every newsletter.
Email advertising without newsletter registration and your right to object
If we receive your email address in connection with the sale of goods or services and you have not objected, we reserve the right, based on Section 7 Paragraph 3 of the German Unfair Competition Act (UWG), to regularly send you offers for similar products from our range by email. This serves our legitimate interest in marketing to our customers, which outweighs your interests in this context.
You can object to this use of your email address at any time by sending a message to the contact details provided below or via a link provided in the advertising email, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates.
Consultation offer: As a customer, you will receive a free consultation offer and product recommendations via email. You will receive this consultation offer and product recommendations regardless of whether you have subscribed to our newsletter. We aim to provide you with information about products from our range that match your order history and may be of interest to you based on your recent purchases. Naturally, we strictly adhere to all legal requirements. You can unsubscribe from the consultation offer and product recommendations at any time, without incurring any costs other than standard transmission fees. Simply send a written notification to the contact details listed in section 13 (e.g., email, letter). You will also find an unsubscribe link in every email.
The processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in advertising our products. We store your data for this purpose until you object to its use.
